Rural Insurance, the specialist agricultural insurer based in Harrogate, has hired Dean Holloway as regional sales manager for the South West, as it aims to continue to deliver double digit growth.
Mr Holloway joins the business from Jelf, and will report to Rural head of sales Dean Robertson.
Simon Stevens, Rural MD, said: “This is a brand new role for Rural and underpins our strategy to highlight SW England as an area of expansion for us. Dean’s remit will stretch from Southampton in the East, up as far as Swindon and then all the way down to Penzance.”
Mr Stevens said: “Dean is a highly experienced executive with 20 years in insurance, and I am delighted to welcome him to Rural Insurance. Our aim from the start has been to double the size of Rural by 2015 and become a top three player in the market segments we compete in, and I am sure our new presence in the South West will be a significant factor in driving forward our growth plans.”
He added: “We have already grown our headcount by 10% in Harrogate to cope with growth, and with Dean’s assistance we want to increase the number of brokers we trade regularly with to 200 within the next few months.”
